Zoo Days

This Tuesday Caroline and I took Brooke and Eli to the Gainsville Zoo!! We fed the Giraffes and goats, talked to the birds, and .....almost had to call the fire department!! Not kidding!!!

You know those wooden stands with pictures on them and a whole cut out to put your own head in??? Well they obviously didn't consider the size of ELI'S head when they created them???

Eli had put his head in and was having fun pretending to be a giraffe but when he went to pull it back out. No such luck!! At first I couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny and I just assumed Caroline and I could get him out. But after a struggle and a lot of tears he had not budged.Caroline ran to get help from two Zoo employees and informed them that a child was stuck and needed help. They asked her if it was her child and she said "No.My child has a small head" Ha Ha!!

The two gentlemen came to the rescue and tried and tried to angle poor little Eli's round head out the oval shaped whole. Eventually.... Freedom!!!!
Walking away with just scrapped up ears and head. Eli may never want to stick his head in anything again!! Which may not necessarily be a bad thing in his case.Ha Ha!!

Having fun

We went to our Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jimmy's house for a visit today. They live in Alvord,TX. We love going out there, the kids always have so much fun just being kids! Running as far as they want to run, making giant dirt piles and rolling in them, chasing each other with frogs, riding in tractors and 4 wheelers and talking to animals. No fences and no electronics!!Just a great time with family!!!

Hey everyone! I am typing and walking now! Yeah!!!
Thank you for your encouragements, visits, prayers, and meals!! It all has meant so much to our family. Although I'm still not symptom free I am able to do alot more than I was a few weeks ago. Which at this point is a big celebration!!!!
The Lord has definitely been taking me on a journey and I'm thankful for the glimpses He has given of His grace for me. I don't know yet if this condition is permanent or even what my condition is.
Paul said in Romans "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."
My prayers and cries to the Lord have changed during these painful and trying months. At first they were for healing... and then I began to pray for just answers... "Lord just let me know whats wrong with me. I don't mind suffering just let me know what I'm suffering with" .
But while I was in the hospital our God very clearly comforted me with his answer ... "Why?, why do you need to know? Do you not trust me? Am I not in charge? Do I not know whats best for you?". These convictions comfort me!!!
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."Romans 8:26

Dinner at The Grahams anyone???

So....... if you have ever wondered what it was like to prepare a meal for my family on a typical weeknight. Heres a clear picture of the mess!!!
As I'm chopping vegetables for a recipe, I am also putting milk in a sippy cup for Eli and fixing a snack for everyone in hopes that it holds their bellys until dinner!

From the bathroom I hear Abby screaming that the" TOLIET IS FILLING UP" Oh no!! I run to the bathroom where she had pooped and sure enough it was over flowing!! So... I run to the garage to get the plunger with all four kids right behind me. I grab it and soon realize its caught and tangled in a Barbie fishing pole!! Oh no!! Anna and I pull and pull and break it free.

After cleaning up the small interuption I go back to chopping the veggies for dinner, only to hear Eli crying at my feet "change me momma". So......I take him to his room and find a big diahriaha mess in and on his pants!! After cleaning up the small interuption I go back to the kitchen and begin cutting up the vegetables for dinner again.

I soon hear a gross gaging sound from the dinning room. "You have got to be kidding me" . I ran into the dinning room to find my dog Lulu throwing up!!!!!!! Apparently some of the broccoli that I was cutting up for dinner had fallen on the floor and we now know she doesn't like vegetables!! So.... If you ever come to our house for dinner (which I hope you still do) please know I DO WASH MY HANDS!!!! Ha, ha!!!
